Autumn Leaves reveal
Nature’s retreat from summer
It’s the retreat from laughter
And happiness in the sun
And the world goes still,
When the last leaf falls down
Snow is just around the corner
Everything’s going silent
In the darkening of the day
Autumn Leaves prepare the
World for numbness
Dying on their way down
Shrivel up ‘til nothing remains
Leaving empty trees
Letting the world know that
The darkness is coming back
Everything’s fading into grey
It’s not the end of the world
But the end of a cycle
The end of this life as it was
A new form of being
Is rising to tell you
All will start out new
Some day for sure
